Increasing financial risk protection for children’s surgery worldwide has been identified as a priority area by GICS, however little is known about where children’s families are at the greatest risk for catastrophic healthcare expenditure and what financial protection currently exists for children undergoing surgery on a global scale.
This study surveys providers to ascertain what protection mechanisms exist in their country and ask them to estimate average expenditures for their patients.
The survey is found Here.
The questionnaire should take 5-10 minutes to answer.
Further questions about the study should be directed to: sarah.ullrich@yale.edu
